cam for cali?
cam for cali? i have been thinkin of puttin a cam in, and when i do im gunna port and polish my heads... i want it to still pass smog, ive heard that the TR224 is a good one and the stealth by MTI (i think) are good ones that will still pass smog...tell me if it will pass cali smog with the port and polish and either of those cams, if those cams wont what will thanks!
Yep, TR224/224 114 is a great cam for CA. I have one. Havent had to smog yet but I am confident that it will pass. Like the others said, ported heads wont affect smog, if anything it will make the car burn cleaner

LMAO!!! jrp u have a smog coming up right...if ur down i know a guy in monterey that will pass any1 no cats sniffer fails whatever he does it...but got to do it before feburary he is gunna leave and go to BMW school or something like that to be a mechanic for them

i got a question on smog...i dont think my smog check is till augest or something..if i got it smoged in the next couple months, would that like reset it for another 3 years after that or something?

ferocity ur car is coming along nicely...that y-pipe u bastard i want to do that hahahaha...o yeah does it matter who i get the cam from or does TR only make the 224/114...o yeah how does it sound? how big a difference from the lsa114 and the lsa112

I'd get the cam from Thunder Racing. They seem to do a nice job, very high quality. Comp is the only other company that I know of that makes that size. Or, just take the specs and go anywhere and have a cam custom ground.

i was also wondering about the 224/114 with p/p heads and later down the line i am thinking of some sort of F/I would that cam and the p/p heads work fine with F/I??
