TEA VS ABSOLUTE SPEED
John.
Awsome customer service, he really went the extra mile for me... I asked him to install 977 springs he did and researched some valves to get the install hight right, awsome...
Rev 2.02/1.57 but .070 longer stem to get a 1.85 install hight!
He even didnt mind me callin him once or twice a week to bug him ! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

First is you are getting a [new] set of heads. You will never have problems with valve guides and oil consumption problems associated with loose guides. Most, if not all aftermarket heads will get you a new set of valve guide seals, but will retain the original guides. With a set of TEA 5.3 heads, you are starting out with new GM castings (to include the guides). I will take a new set of heads any day.... period
Secondly, although a set of TEA 5.3 heads will flow just about equally on the intake side to a set of ported 5.7L heads as long as they both have the same size intake valves, the exhaust flow is superior on ported 5.3 heads. You can look at the flow numbers on these heads. Show me a set that flows better on the exhaust.
Now, we are only comparing TEA to Absolute Speed. There both good, but I can tell you; TEA has a CNC facility that is as high tech as you could ask for, and produces heads that are exact in tolerance.
I know this is not a Mustang board, but TEA also produces cyl heads for many of the 2002 Renegade points championship cars. These are 8 second vehicles. And the folks that run these cars don't run junk heads.
The price is right on either supplier. It's up to you....
