Hey Booger, did you notice NO PULLEY...228/224 cam? Oh ya....and the price? Great results w/ much to go with the right setup. Your off-the-cuff posts never cease to amaze me. Do you know how to compliment? It is not that hard for decent folks!
Mark great work trying to bring an affordable set of heads with above average returns!!!!

Oh yeah, this info is on a "non-tricked" dyno w/ less than 5 hours on it.

Somewhat comparable to my more expensive stage 2x set up! Keep the research up.

Mark:

Congrats on the good results but I have one question. Your sig says 440 HP and 396 TQ, presumably with someone else's heads. Did you go backwards on the HP or was this a different car and/or cam?

Nice honest numbers the heads seem to work great. Have you tried a 224/228 cam compared to the reverse?

Well Terry I would like to see some of these high hp heads/cam setups get on someone elses dyno. I have yet to see any of these cars go to another dyno and put out the claimed numbers. We don't screw around with our dyno to make bigger numbers either so this is more of a "real world" number that people will actually see on other dynos.

Ragtop this was on a customers car. We were not using RMS heads on our formula but plan doing so here in the future. Our car is in the process of getting a built shortblock. I would like to get back to the numbers I had with the RMS heads and not the heads we had done from another independant porter who has since vanished.

Yes I would like to try some more traditional splits since people seem to be making good hp with them. We have one project scheduled for it on a stock headed car. The 228/224 made some nice torque though... starting at 370rwtq at 3200rpm.

also just ignore terry mullet-burger. he has nothing else to do other than rag on others.

Mark,

Great job - I was wondering if you have flow numbers for those heads? Nice to have an LS1 shop in the KC area now.

I agree for real world numbers these are pretty good, shoot it seems that alot of head and cam packages are still only getting to around 400 rwhp.

Good Job Mark! Its nice to see that someone out there is spending time researching a good bang for the buck ported head. I am sure there are plenty of potential customers on this board that would sacrifice 10 or 20 rwhp to save themselves around 1,000 bucks or so. God knows there are plenty of us out here on limited budgets. Lastly, HUGE props to you for having the ***** to post a realistic dyno # that potential customers will easily duplicate or improve on. Says alot about your character and what customers can expect from Raging Motorsports, not only on these heads but any other parts they might be in the market for.
