Which stage heads?

Default Which stage heads?

I think I'm going to take the plunge and get some patriot ls6 heads (from what I understand their castings are those of the 6.0 leader truck heads). I have a G5X3 cam, along w/ the mods in my sig. I want the most power possible; however, I don't want to affect my drivablility too bad (not much room for more adversity there :S). Should I go with the stage III heads or 2.5 heads? Thanks for any input.

Stage 2 or 2.5 will flow perfect for your setup.

Stage 2, just make sure you do not have to flycut your pistons.
Is your cam 112 or 114?
PV clearance with that cam is tight. Less than .01 on stock head.

Stage 3 heads are used in large part on engines with > stock cubes. They'll have too much flow for your setup.

I gained 25HP by having TEA upgrade my heads from 2.0 to 2.5. Nothing else.
