Default hot cam or Z06 cam?

theyre right around the same specs,a little different lift.im going to be running a 150-200 shot wet N2O.which do you think will give me good TQ under-the curve? i just want something to pass CALI smog as well as make good N/A and N2O power.

The hotcam will definitely give you more power under the curve. The Z06 cam does not really start to show gains until you are laying into it.

Why those cams? There are a lot better cams out there that are designed for n20.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that there have been issues with the hotcam not actually passing Cali emissions..

There are alot of other nice cams out there that will pass emissions and work great with nitrous..

Between the two you listed...gm hotcam, but as has been stated already, there are much better options out there.

i was pondering the TR224, as stated in my sig.but im going back to the spray, so i need a split.also i want to make good power down low.in other words i dont want to sacrifice my great bottom end.maybe a 220/224? i really wanted the 231/237 but im just leary as i got pulled over not too long ago and was fully inspected.TIA.

those to cams are worlds apart. if i was in your area i'd go with something smalll 218 to 224 duratation if going off the shelf. seems the cops there dont **** around, down here you can have a cam shaking your whole car and they dont care and you can take care of emissions at your discretion.

i was looking at TR's site and am taking a liking to the 224/227 how do you think it'll do on the sniffer? with a good tune will it pass? i got somebody to pass me on smog, but i dont know if hes just going to pass me on the visual and still have to put my baby on the monster.i really like the sound of this cam for my 150-shot.it sounds very appealing.what do you guys think?

I'VE GOT 1.8 ROCKERS- DIDN'T PLAN ON A CAMSHAFT. I LOVE THE SOUND THROUGH THE SLP DD'S. I WANT TO KEEP THE BONE STOCK IDLE. I WENT TO THE CHEVY DEALER TO SEE IF I COULD GET AN '01 LS6 CAM, BUT THEY WANTED $340, THEY SAID LIST WAS $248. I WANTED TO KEEP THE LIFT REASONABLE. SINCE I WOULD HAVE TO CHANGE SPRINGS ANYWAY I GUESS I WILL GO WITH THE '02 CAM BECAUSE IT ONLY COST $199 FROM SCOGGIN DICKEY. LIFT WILL BE .580ISH. WHAT SHOULD I SET THE REV LIMITER @. 6300-6450? I WANT TO HAVE THE LOWEST SETTING POSSIBLE WITHOUT SACRIFICING THE CAM'S POTENTIAL. ANYONE?
