JAMMASTERJ There are many guys including myself that are running CARTEK heads in our FBODY, I know of 7 or 8 guys making around 420 on stage 2 heads and 430-450 on ls6 heads. We love them as much as the corvette guys they just have sold more to them thats all.

If those heads flowed 307 they would support about 600-620 hp with a good solid roller. A guy bought a set of heads that supposedly flowed 340 (LS6) and on our bench they flowed 300. Not saying your heads don't flow that, but just know that you should be able to make a little more power with that much flow IMO.

Nobody mentioned SAM heads, but since we don't sell them and just run em I guess that's why. Our orange car heads flow 340 and it makes 692 hp.

Chris ARE,that M6 rwhp loss sounds right to me.I cant see how some use a percentage which multiplies as you make more HP.

It will be interesting when Tomtheroofer[TTR]gets his flywheel HP and then dyno's thru auto for a comparo.

These are the heads I would consider buying based on proven results.

SRP, TEA, MTI, GTP, & LPE

These are heads I would consider with additional research and seeing more proven results.

LG Motorsports
Cartek

When i said 600 rwhp from the Sam motor that was just a conservative guess.I dont do the percentage thing either. If that car has a Jerico that would take even less to turn.I think

The dyno graph posted by mrb00formula is not accurate. Where did that come from??

The the first dyno was not SAE, this one is.

FYI- the difference between "Actual" and "SAE" was nominal.. like maybe 3-5hp max.

If I had long-tubes, no cats, and the slightly larger Thunder 224 cam then I would presume I would have gotten about 5-7 more HP and maybe 10-15 in the TQ dept. However.. both of our cars will not be slouches on the track, thanks to Jay's Absolute Speed Heads!

Both John and I posted our numbers.. now lets see some of your dyno print-outs. Put up or shut-up, plain and simple.

Put your heads on his current setup and I bet the hp won't go up that much...Come on be realistic here....

RWHP is NOT a percentage it is pretty much a fixed number... For a T56 it is right around 45-55HP

With good rod bolts, oil pump, and valvetrain, 8000 rpm is a realistic shift point. Guys the LS1 is much sturdier by design than factory small block chevys, and they will turn 8000 no sweat with proper prep. People are afraid of the unknown but that will change

i have r.g.r st2heads.i'm not saying my heads are the best but i only paid $1,600 for them. they SEEM to have all the options the other heads have. i dynoed at 424.1rwhp and 407.4rwtq(i dont even have all the boltons and have a 12boltw/gears costing me some power)when i see alot of other peoples dyno # their the hp is there but the tq is only around 380 or 390tq.over all i'm happy with the heads and i'm turning some deep 11sec time slips too.
