Stock Rockers

How much Hp can that take.... currently in the build of a sleeved and stroked ls1.. the aftermarket ones are a bit pricey but maybe worth it

rpm is probably the biggest enemy, b/c hp really dosent affect the rockers. a lot of people are still using the stock rockers. it can be a real pain in the butt to get the aftermarket ones clearanced and adjusted correctly.

they break on stock motors...more frequently than you think.
All that work and putting stock rockers back in is a big mistake...

Not really.

We spun stock rockers to 7800 on the dyno, and went 140 traps NA 346 with them shifting at 7200-7500.

Find a newer set, 01+ and be done with it if you want to keep the stockers.

It was the early years 97/98/99 that seemed to have an issue.

no ****. After reading how many problems people have with the stock rockers, I decided to go with a set of Jesels in my 383. Last thing I wanted was to have a stock needle bearing floating through my engine. Both valve covers needed quite a bit of clearancing, but well worth it in my eyes. The alternative to clearancing would be to get valve cover spacers. Bang for the buck, clearancing the valve covers fit my budget better.

Some people luck out with stock rockers...some people dont...I wont take the chance.

Send them to Nasty and get the set of C-Clipped stockers. They are machined stock rockers that will not lose the needle bearings the way stock ones do.
