Default 395 with FI?

Well I think i have a piston ready to melt down so it's time to start thinking about strokers. I want to go with a 395 lunati stroker kit and wondered what you guys thought about it with my ATI SC kit with about 16lbs of boost. Also i have 42# injectors and a 255 walbro intank pump will I have to upgrade?
TIA
mike

Less stroke is better with FI, because the engine already has stress from the boost. 4.125" cranks are also prone to causing oiling problems NA. Add in a less than ideal rod angle and something may happen with your piston rings or rod bolts. I'd personally go with a forged 348, or if you must have stroke, a 383. Go with a bigger cam if you do 383, but know your boost will drop because the supercharger is filling a larger volume, but your power output will increase, even if you drop to 12psi.

I agree with the 395 not being ideal for boost. I think 402>408 would be better. If you want to stick with alum block then a 382/383.

Yeah that is what i have been reading but i have never actually seen a post made to where someone actually had a problem. Everyone's comment have been pretty much theory. Hopefully someone has tried this and is still running it with an FI setup or tried it and failed because i would like to hear about it.

Save yourself some money and go with a forged 348. Just get the stock crank heat tretaed and you would probably need bigger injectors and 2 255's with 16lbs of boost.

I'd say it depends on your performance goals and budget. But without knowing those, I would like to comment on the idea that the long stroke is a mistake.
First, I'm not aware of the oiling problems mentioned, could JakeFusion give details?

Let's say you want 600hp. If you tried to do that with a 346 blown motor, why would there by more trouble with reliability than with a 400 blown motor? For a given HP, the stroked motor would use less boost thereby gaining a reliability benefit. (for a given hp level you are seeing less cylinder pressures in the longer stroke motor)

I know the 4.125" stroke increases piston speed and increases the rod angle (and thereby piston side load) but these are premium components and with premium rod bolts and a 6800rpm rev limit I just don't see any reason for concern. Who's known an engine with the Lunati 4.125" kit to blow up? (given it was installed right and the revs kept to the above limit)
