Default Connecting Rod Length Troubles!

Whats up guys... I'm trying to measure a set of H-Beams I have and would like to use in my LT4... They are Chevy rods and came out of a built LT1 with a 3.750 crank... but when I measure center to center from the crank hole to the piston pin hole on both ends, I keep comming up with 5.85"... It's DRIVING ME INSANE!!! I need to know whether there 5.7's or 6.0's... Can anyone help me figure out what I'm doing rong or another way to measure? Thanks

Mike

5.85" rod are common. Used in both circle track and drag applicatons. So it is possible you are correct.

So my JE Pistons made for 3.750 stroke and 5.7 rod won't work?

measure from the bearing surface on the big end to the bearing surface on the small end, then add half of he big end diam and half the pin diam. sometimes breaking it down like that can help a lot.
