Default F13 or Torquer Part II

I've done my research so now it's time to come to the boards to ask opinions. I have 1998 WS6 M6-60K with: Lid, B&M-Jss, Pacsetter headers, 3 inch duals-x pipe, 12 inch Bullets dumped, !CATS, !Skip Shift.

Plan on doing cam by summer so I need to pick one out. I have it narrowed down to either the Torquer or the F13. Both I think will give about the same power but I need details from people who really know these cams to say something like comparing drivability, low end torque(which I like more then top end,etc..)I drive my car only on the weekends and in the summer, I am 19 so don't have very much extra cash so have to do a lot of research so I don't get screwed on setup and price. I want this car to be close to 400 on the dyno for both HP/TQ and for it to have as good of drivability as it can with this size cam.

With cam install I will be buying: LS6 oil pump, Rollmaster Dual Timing chain, LS6 Intake w/ collant plugs/pipes, Spec Stage 3 upgraded hydrualics,slave/master, I will be resurfacing my original flywheel, might do ASP but not sure. I am going to keep my 3.42 and stock 10 bolt and drive as conservative as I can. No really I will.

I need to know the details that make each of these cams different from each other. I am leaning towards the TSP only because of price right now. No matter what cam I will most likely be getting the PRC kit with duals spring and all the beefer stuff. So let the opnions began and sorry for the long post.

a question ive been asking myself a lot too.. however, the f13 will prolly be a better street cam ground on 114. But, the 233/239 ive heard is actaully just as streetable or more then the 233/233, so may want to consider that cam as well i guess as soon as some #'s come out, and by the time summer rolls around man there maybe a few more cams out that u like as well.. keep all that in mind and talk to futral and tsp about it, in the end go with what makes you happy!

I vote torquer just b/c that's the one I've got experience with. It's very streetable and makes good power across the band. Its got a great punch at 3000 rpms.

I've had both and I'd say.............
Pick the one that's the cheapest, they are both very comparable. Spend the extra money on a DAMN good tune, that's where the extra power and drivabilty comes from.

I vote the F13 because the cam and it is great at the track and daily driver. The cam pulls hard a WOT and you smoke a good amount of pony boys

FM13. I have yet to see any graphs where the 'Torquer' cam significantly out performs (torque) another cam of similar characteristics.

granted I dont have the F13, just a F11 here.. but the friggin F11 idles better and is all around better than my old small 224/224 114 cam! I wish i had gone with the F13 now The only idle issue I have on my A4 is the first crank where I have to give her a lil gas to hold the rpms, then its good to go at 850rpms!

like the others said, i'd either flip a quarter or find the best price on one.. im a fan of both that sell the cam, so its a 50/50 call here

I am going with the Torquer simply because TSP is a short drive from my house and they can probably tune for their own cams better than someone elses. Seriously, flip a coin.

BTW: I think you can get the old version of the torquer for a ton cheaper since they now upgraded it to a 232/234 595 598.

I vote for the torquer cam. My car went from 301rwhp to 362rwhp with this cam, stall, and tranny. I still have factory TB and intake. My mods are down below.

I say the 233/239 Torquer Rev.2... Should make better torque than the F13 and still be pretty street friendly.. I've got one on the way right now so I can't exactly say that its the best but I have a feeling its gonna be a damn good cam.

Being a fan of both TSP and Futral cams, my vote goes to the F13.

I have the F13 now, and had the TSP 231/237 before it... I really like the F13, great cam for someone who drives on the street as well as the track, but doesn't have as mean a lope as my old 231/237 did. That said, you can't go wrong with either the F13 or the new Torquer.

I'm a big fan of Texas Speed. The major difference I can see between Futral and Texas Speed is that Texas Speed's cams sound more aggressive. That is why I went with the Torquer. Here is my graph. This was with stock throttle body and stock MAF. Texas Speeds customer service has been fantastic. I will continue to buy from them. Excellent drivability and it cams its butt off.(NOTE* The SAE corrected graph was only 2 hp different)

I jumped from 302 to 373.6 on the dyno with the 233/239. They are down the street from me, but i am a huge fan of TSP. That is with a stock intake, TB, even pully.

i know you have changed your mind but ill post up for others that search this. i like the f13, because futral makes it and i have had good experience with them as opposed to some otehrs, and i have the f13 and after a little tuning she is running great. power is wicked, if you go with futral and you wont be disappointed. ive got some sound clips of that cam too with ORY and GMMG, sounds sweet

I would say the torqer cam starts to make power around the same rpm. Gomer said go with the best deal as he had both. The f13 does lope but not as much as the torqer cam so way it out which one you would rather have.
with that said, My f13 is great from idle up to 6800 so you pick.
