Looks like I do have the 241's, my quesiton now is should I have these worked up or should I go with a set of the AFR's stage II's or PP stage II's? Are these 241's better to keep and work up?

If you have the coin to spend go for the AFR's. If you can't go all out, go for porter LS6 (243) castings, if money is a big concern, get the 241's reworked.

I believe it's on the lower portion of the head at the front of the engine. I know it's at the front, just not sure where on the head it's located...i've only checked a couple dozen casting numbers, you'd think i could remember. What year is your car? I can tell you what heads you have from that info...

Casting # is at the Passenger side>front lower part (it is also on the other side but under cowl.)

Lower right corner of either head, on a pad just below the valve cover. It will be a 3-digit number. If the engine is in the car then look on the passenger side head, it will be at the front of the engine.
