FM13 cam PP heads and bolt ons installed
My C5 was completely stock before I installed the cam, heads, and full bolt-ons. Can you believe my car actually learned to idle on its own?!? The computer has it idling around 700rpm and it's got a little bit of lope to it. I can even cruise at 1300-1500 rpm with no surging. I might have missed it, but I did alot of research on this cam and I never found someone saying the FM13 acted like this on stock tune. Here's the mod list:
PP LS6 style stage 2 heads
ARP head bolts
FM13 112+4
double roller
ported oil pump
Ls6 intake
shaner TB
TPIS headers
magnaflow xpipe
z06 mufflers
magnecor wires
NGK TR55 plugs
stock crank pulley
vararam CAI
spec stage 3 clutch
DTE 3.90 rear
It's a night and day difference from stock; and it should be. The power comes on about 3500 rpm, past 4200 or so it really pulls, and continues all the way to my stock 6200 rev limiter. It's very smooth when cruising and it seems to be smoother than stock. At the exhuast and tire shop they thought the car just had headers on it. I'm going to have to use that line sometime...
My dyno tune is scheduled for next Saturday at Rev Xtreme. I'll post the dyno sheets when I get them.
