Yes, Another cam advice needed thread
I am picking this over the gt2-3 as I understand I will get more power throughout the power band, especially down low due to the 112LSA.
I know the gt2-3 has a nice idle but does not really gain any power untill over 4-5k.
I do not want the TR224 as I think this will be just a little too much for my taste. I want more power in the lower rpm's and the 220@112 will do that better than the 224@114
I plan on getting the comp 918 springs, hardened push rods, new timing chain(ls2?) and upgrading the oilpump to an LS6 pump.
I am basing my decision on the help I got here and my discussions with three vendors that carry cams. I also heard from someone that has this cam.
If I end up with 350-360RWHP I will be happy(for now).
I will probably go through the whole motor after this summer or next. Then ls6 heads, who knows??
Sound like a good plan??

You want a big, wide band? Go the Comp Extreme 218/224 @ 114. An aftermarket ported oil pump would be superior to the LS6 pump. The 918s are alright. Do the Rollmaster double-roller timing chain. A double-roller isn't just twice as strong as a single, it's multiple times more durable.
Actually he was right. The 112 will get into the power band quicker then the 114.
