Default Small duration (less than 220) comp X-er lobes?

I've been using the attached lobe sheet to order comp cams with. The X-er's only go down to a 220 duration on this sheet. Does comp offer a 216 or 218 X-er lobe? Also, if anyone has the newer lobe master they can post or email to me, I'd really appreciate it.

You can get the master catalog on Comp's site. BTW - You can get most any hydraulic lobe in their list made to fit an LS1

The smallest X-er they have listed on their online catalog is the 220.

I have heard about taking another hydraulic roller lobe and having it ground on a LS1 blank, but how does that effect the "base" specs of the lobe?

For example, if I took a Xtreme Energy Comp lobe #3314, which is a 224 @ .050/ 276 advertised/ 145 @ .200 and a lift of .570 with a 1.7 rocker when it is ground on a small block chevy hydraulic roller blank and had that ground on a LS1 blank. What would the specs change too?

They don't change. Right now I'm testing out a 262/270 .640 lift hydraulic.
It's a lobe they use for renegade racing.

You should check into Cam Motion. They make .588 lift lobes in the 21x range. Mighty nice and rev to the moon.

nothing will change aslong as you use a 3314R "R" masters are for the LS-1 bearing journal 2.165" If you used a SBC 3314S it will change. The SBC uses a smaller bearing journal. If you used an "S" master on an LS-1 the lobe would "grow" about 3 degrees of duration at .050"

Thanks,
Brian

How small do you want to go???

There are some 214*-215*-216*-218*-219* that are similar to XER. Some more aggressive, some a little less...

Come on Brian,

You "may" know what I use over there at Comp but they aren't my only vendor...

Remember Mark C. and his "loose lips"? Back when he was the Racer Rep, I had to search around for a place that wouldn't "share" the R&D...

You should call one day so we can BS for a while.

You don't have to worry about that. My reputation and expierence speaks for itself. Tons of people use me for cam knowledge just like yourself. BTW for all intents and purposes I never said I worked for Comp..if you catch my drift.....
