Oil or Assembly lube when installing new cam?

I used oil on my first, but may try a new type of oil on my next cam my buddy said would work well also, it's STP oil treatment in the blue bottle, it's a lot thicker then regular motor oil so it will stay on the lobes a little better....

If the car is going to be started up very soon after the install, oil is perfectly fine. If not, I use Royal Purple or Clevite assembly lube.
