Default Oil pressure pegged to max after intake install... HELP!!!

Long story short, reinstalled my intake today... Got in the car to go home and noticed the oil pressure pegged way past 80 on my gauge. Immediately noticed loss of power, had to drive home on the highway to get home. Car felt like it was seriously missfiring, and at even throttle merging onto the highway, bucked like a mule.

WHAT THE **** IS WRONG WITH MY CAR NOW???

Any help will be appreciated!

Chris

The oil pressure sender that is right behind the intake is broken. This is very easy to do when removing or installing an intake. You will have to take the intake back off and you will have to buy a sender. I think GM is the only place you can get it and it is like 30-60 dollars.

Thank you very much, Guess Who... Another question: Will a massive vaccuum leak cause my car to sputter, be underpowered and miss?

Yes, I'm guessing you broke the oil sender and you have a major vacuum leak.

If the oil pressure sender is broken it would read 0 pressure on the gauge. If you leave it unplugged, it would peg all the way to the right. So, you probably do not need the sender itself, just need to plug the connector in to it.
