Absolute S2 Dyno Numbers (SAE) w/ Tuning
I'm looking to add some additional cold air from both the front and from below the car.
Raugh made 400 threw an AUTOMATIC!!
Not a 6sp.

Dont be all quick to judge, Roughammer i belive made like 400 hp with stage 2 MTI heads and same or silmilar cam and ran 10's with it, not as extreme setup as his, but still, it shows the proof comes at the track, not on the dyno.

I do agree though, dynoes are a tuning device, nothing more nothing less. The numbers look good to me, certainly the car is very capable of 11.8s @ 119 MPH on a BFG.
The numbers look good. If you had no cats and 3.42s you would be closer to 410. As it sits now, you are street legal and will have a nasty highway runner....
its just thats the first thing people
look at and remark about
we do not tune cars to put up a big number and send them on their way
we like to find out what they are looking for in a tune up and how they are going to drive the car
Our big thing is drivable with correct air fuel
and a safe and happy timing curve
half the cars we see at the track or on the street
run poorly,start hard,stall
we try first to make the car run well, then make power but safely

Besides, actual performance data tells more than dyno numbers anyway. Hypothetically, if I dyno'd ~370 rwhp but was running 120mph in the 1/4, I wouldn't be too worried about it.

Yes, looks good and i was not comparing autos to manuals and MTI to absolute heads. It Does have a real nice solid dyno curve, through.. Should run good.
bob...can't believe you dyno'd with the hood closed. that is funny.

Yeah.. why not!
The guys at Eastside were interested, and so was I.. so down went the hood. I'm going to devise a way you adapt the SLP CAI and add some ventilation in the front of the stock formula hood to add to the amount of cool air available. After all, I learned right here on LS1Tech that the LS1 was nothing more than an elaborate air pump.

i think closed hood reduces hp by about 5 hp on a mostly stock LS1. i wonder what it costs hp on a H/C LS1.
The headers are Bassani midlengths, similar to Macs; not shorties. My guess is that LT's would be worth another 10 rwhp or so. Anyway, nice #'s!

MAC's vs LT's
The MAC's are usually equal to LT's on peak hp. In some cases a mid length header like the MAC or Bassani can actually make better peak hp than a LT.

Do you have any dyno figures on the bassinis to actually argue that claim? I have sein some dynos that have shown hardly any gain with the bassini, but not enough to justify. Please share if you do... Thanks.
I should have been more specific. I've seen dyno results on MAC's vs SLP LT's on the same car. I've not seen any results on the Bassani.
Under 4500rpm the SLP make more torque ~10 and a few more hp than the MAC's.
Over 4500 the MAC's make 10-12rwhp more than the SLP's.
I don't have a copy of the graphs but that was what I saw.
