Default Absolute S2 Dyno Numbers (SAE) w/ Tuning

First off- Kudos to NoGo (Kevin Haggerty) and the folks at Eastside Performance!

Kevin & Guy went the extra mile tonight getting my car tuned on the dyno after the installation of the Absolute Speed Stage 2 Heads.

Below is the dyno sheet with Ed Wrights "mail-order" tuning in red, which incidentally didn't correct my gears..(I didn't think I was going 80+ MPH on I95!) and the subsequent tuning done by NoGo (in blue) which gained 4.4 HP and 4.4 TQ. The Air/Fuel ratio is also right on the money now, and no KR!

Absolute Speed (sponsor) and Eastside Performance (soon-to-be sponsor) put the finishing touches on my car and I can't thank them enough.

Thanks again Jay, Kevin, and Guy!!!

How does the car sound? idle? I'm getting my LS6 S2, LS6 intake, and a 222/222 .569 114 cam installed next week, car is at the shop already. I'm just curious cause we have very similar setups, does the car pull like mad now?

I like it!

And it pulls like mad now.. I nailed it in 4th Gear going up-hill on I287 and had to get off it. That was a pleasant surprise.

No flames intended, but how is it that some people are getting close to 400RWHP with stock heads and a big cam, and this guy only got 397 with Stage 2 heads and a medium sized cam?

I thought with stage 2 heads and a cam, you should easily be above 400.

I see he even has custom tuning and an LS6 intake. Are the Absolute Speed stage 2 heads not as good as other stage 2 heads?

He has shorty headers, which are probably hurting his #s a bit.

The headers are Bassani midlengths, similar to Macs; not shorties. My guess is that LT's would be worth another 10 rwhp or so. Anyway, nice #'s!

Yep that torque curve loox nice 'n flat. Good area under the curve overall. I think the setup will turn some good track times and still have decent street manners. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Raugh made 400 threw an AUTOMATIC!!
Not a 6sp.

I think those # are excellent giving the fact he has cats on it.Thats easily worth 5 to 7 RW if he took them off and he has a lower gear than 3.42,I believe he has 4.10's which will kill another 5 to 7 RW too.

This setup would make over 400 no problem set up like I wrote above.

However.. Eastside Performance didn't have a 1/4 mile set of wires to test with car moving. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_images/icons/tongue.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
