the Trex fits a specific application, if it meets yours then i say its a great cam. however alot of people would be better served by something else. sound is subjective, you can take a HC and drop the idle and make it lope like you've never heard.

You can DD it, but I don't consider it a DD IMO. I t took me some time to get the tuning just right, but it runs real good on the street, traffic, heat, doesn't stall, buck, etc. I don't DD mine, but I do drive it (when not working on it) to work a couple times a week when weather is good. I do rev mine to 7200 RPM at the track where it likes to run and I put down 430 WHP in my A4 with it.

I daily drive mine and love it. I have put 20K on the car since the swap and the only thing I would change, is I would have had Jeremy Formato from Rev Xtreme tune it in the first place. With typical bolt ons and the cam, I put down 426 to the wheels, and I dont have any bucking, or other drivability issues.

i drove it daily for a few months, surges lil bit under 2000 and after that hold the xxxx on. im running 4.56 gears which helps a ton with traffic and so far has dynoed a best of 442 to the tires through the 12bolt. with some tuning adjustments and additonal intake work im hopin for close to 450rwhp and around 400rwtq

The cam is all in the tune. I drive mine every day 2 school and work around the D.C. area! This cam pulls like a ****, and idles right at 950 rpm. I have to let it warm up for about 2-3 min and it will be surge free. Good luck with the setup!

To get correct seat pressure. The older Cranes where supposed to be a .030" shim and the newer I think was around .060" shim. You should measure your install height and shim according to the recomended specs.

Actually the new Cranes are a .090" shim at least that is what Thunder told me and what I installed.

And yes you get the correct seat preesure.

I'm runnin with my stockers. My last dyno tune showed that I had almost maxxed them out though. So if you plan on any other decent mods, you will want to step it up a bit.
