TRex cam owners inside...anyone probs???
the Trex fits a specific application, if it meets yours then i say its a great cam. however alot of people would be better served by something else. sound is subjective, you can take a HC and drop the idle and make it lope like you've never heard.
You can DD it, but I don't consider it a DD IMO. I t took me some time to get the tuning just right, but it runs real good on the street, traffic, heat, doesn't stall, buck, etc. I don't DD mine, but I do drive it (when not working on it) to work a couple times a week when weather is good. I do rev mine to 7200 RPM at the track where it likes to run and I put down 430 WHP in my A4 with it.

I daily drive mine and love it. I have put 20K on the car since the swap and the only thing I would change, is I would have had Jeremy Formato from Rev Xtreme tune it in the first place. With typical bolt ons and the cam, I put down 426 to the wheels, and I dont have any bucking, or other drivability issues.

yea i didnt like the sweating my butt off part.i drove it daily for a few months, surges lil bit under 2000 and after that hold the xxxx on. im running 4.56 gears which helps a ton with traffic and so far has dynoed a best of 442 to the tires through the 12bolt. with some tuning adjustments and additonal intake work im hopin for close to 450rwhp and around 400rwtq

The cam is all in the tune. I drive mine every day 2 school and work around the D.C. area! This cam pulls like a ****, and idles right at 950 rpm. I have to let it warm up for about 2-3 min and it will be surge free. Good luck with the setup!

I street mine every day but im selling all the stuff on my car to buy a z06. Its not bad as long as you have a good tune. Gas mileage sucks but who cares about that right. If anyone wants this cam pm me and ill sell it
