Cam swap.... Well, I'm going to swap my cam with an MTI G1 in a few weeks since I just recently learned that cam swaps cost around $700....
Anyways, my question is that I have heard a lot of high mileage oil pumps going bad. My car currently has 88,000 miles.
Should I go ahead and swap the Oil pump while I'm doing the cam swap, and also what type of oil pump should I get? LS6 oil pump???

I think its a good idea. I'm doing it with mine and I only have 27K on my car. The ported ls6 oil pump is what most people have recommended to me. It will help to keep your oil pressure up. I think it is more important to do with larger cams but recommended on any cam swap. Your going to be in there, might as well replace it now rather than take a chance on it failing.
