Default Cam swap with stock heads...Good..bad?

i'm thinking about getting a bigger cam.i've got intake and exhaust work. but i've heard alot of horror stories of ppl not doing any head work and getting a cam..scary stuff. should i just save up some more money and buy new springs, valve seats....etc. or should i just go ahead and get a cam and worry about that stuff later...oh yea wat size should i get

If the headwork you're referring to is valvetrain components, then yes, you do have to replace them. You can run an aftermarket cam with your stock heads but you have to change springs, retainers, valve seals, and spring seats depending on your spring kit of choice.

I just did an cam swap.
I replaced springs and push rods.
That's what most do people as a minium.

Most of the sponser's sell kit's; Cam,Springs,Push rods, gaskets. Look for specials & do some search's for what cam you want. You can make good gain's with a cam only engine.
