A little background, My bud, BLKWS6 and I have installed right at 20 cam & spring combos for guys around the Atlanta area and the guy we did the last one for ordered a set of 918's for me with his Futral cam & 918 spring order(gave him a discount on the labor) anyway we install his F10 & 918's and of corse the blue stripes are there as they have for every other set we have installed. Well today I go to install my new set and low & behold no blue marking stripe I decide to call Comp and got Brian in the tech department(very helpful) and after a couple of phone calls back and forth he told me that it appears that 915's got put into my 918 box So I sent the springs back to Comp today and hope to have the correct springs by Friday. He also said he was going to call Alan at Futral to see if he had gotten any other boxes wiith the same problem. Anyone else run across this?

 

damn, thats messed up. i'll be runnin PRC doubles w/the FM-9 i'm pickin up....won't have to worry bout that lol.

 

Yeah it sucks, Typical Monday first the ATM eats my card then half my crew call in with "Super Bowl flu" and so I get a head start on swapping the springs,coil packs/VC's and pushrods out,start with the PS rear spring first(anyone that has done a spring swap knows this is the most PITA one) take the plastic off the box and just knew I was screwed . Waiting to see what Comp does to make this right...Hell dont I at least deserve a free T shirt or something

 

Hey were those 918's in my box or 915's? I hope this was a isolated incident.

Got a call from Brian at Comp this morning just wanting to assure me that they will take care of me on the springs,very upstanding if you ask me. It appears that they do care what type of feedback they get from us here on Tech.

 

My bad Ken. It was 4:51 in the AM and it was a long annoying day at work. I was just speed reading before I hit the sack. Sorry about that. We're still on for the 3rd weekend right. Glad they are taking care of you. Will try to swing by Wed or Friday. Depends on how work is.
