Default After cam issues

I recently put in a TSP 231/237 cam with 918's. I got through 3 heat cycles and decided to rev it up Sunday after it got to normal temps. I revved it up and when it came back down to idle, it sounded like it was going to stall for about 4 seconds. Then the idle went back up to normal. I am thinking a tune is needed. I've been told the car was tuned for the TR220 cam that was in it, but I am not 100% sure.

I also smell gas when it is idling. I assume it needs leaned out a little.

Is this common after cam installs?

I believe every cammed car will try to stall out after a hard rev.....I am not 100% sure about this...someone tell me if I am wrong.

Thanks. I figured that's what I needed. It's just nice to hear that it's not abnormal.

If you did not drill the TB the IAC counts will be to high and won't be able to compensate. When I did my 224 the counts were at about 60 and the car would do what you said . I enlarged the hole til the IAC postion was about 40 and it ran fine.

I've got the same cam. It does the same thing after a rev. Don't worry man, you're not alone.
