I recently had a G5X3 114 LSA cam package with 921 springs installed on my 02 ZO6. My TQ numbers were within 1 foot pound of my last tune where I had LGM long tubes and Random cats installed. My HP went up about 30-35 HP, but as I stated previously, my TQ remained virtually the same. Now, was the cam installed one tooth off, either retarded or advanced? Hopefully I will find out this week. My tuner will be also looking to degree this cam in but is unable to get a cam card. He also told me the serial number on the cam was ground off. What do I do in this case? LG Motorsports will not give out that information. Everything seems secret about this cam. My biggest concern, if this cam is off one tooth advanced, that would mean about 13 degrees advanced, 9 degrees for the tooth and maybe 4 degrees advance built in. According to LG Motorsports this would mean bent valves on start up. Does anybody on the forum have the cam specs so that I can give to my tuner? Does anybody have any opinions as to why my TQ has stayed almost the same before and after the cam install? Right now I am very frustrated and need some answers. Hopefully some of you experienced with this cam will be able to shed some answers.

If the cam is off, it would have either killed intake valves if off in one direction, or if off the other directection it would kill all the exhaust valves. Its that close.

I already spoke to him and will let him know what my tuner finds that is causing the TQ to be on the low side.

Okay. How would I know if this already occurred? What would be the symtoms?

Default Car is fixed.

My tuner, Mike Norris, of Next Level Performance, in Orlando, found what was robbing me of so much HP and TQ. The crap GM battery had a bad cell which was putting out reduced voltage to my coil packs! At first this was not apparent because the car was not throwing any codes! My new numbers are now at 420 RWHP and 392 RWTQ. I gained a solid 51 HP and 23 TQ from just the cam and ASP pulley when he re-dynoed. I am very happy with my new numbers. My car feels totally different and it runs very strong. My hats off to Mike Norris for finding this problem. Another one of his happy customers! On my way home last night to Tampa Bay I was averaging 30.4 MPG until I got stuck in traffic which brought down the mileage to 26.7 MPG. Still very respectable with all my mods.

good #s, anything else done to the car? how about the graph like jrp asked. thats the cam i have on order with lg but waiting for the 225s to become available. by the way how does it sound. does it lobe decent and keep an idle? thanks

I am not very good with computers. My son promised to scan it in but when I am home he is not. The cam sounds bad azz. In parking garages it is especially effective in setting off at least 4 or 5 car alarms on start up. Of course the LGM headers, high flow cats and dual quad stingers help out in setting them off. I try not to start the car if someone is walking near because they usually get startled by the sound coming out the back of the car. There is zero drivability issues but again I have a 6 speed. It idles at 1,000 RPM with no surging. The car barely shakes. I used to get a lot of ricers at lights who would start showing off. No more. When they pull up next to me they just sit there minding their own business. Life is good.
