You'll be spinning A LOT higher than that. About 7000-7200 rpm. I'd get a ported LS6 oil pump for sure.

A ported ls6 pump is highely recommended for any camshaft install, espcially a Trex cam. You can get one for around $100 off ebay, thats what I did.

Just like some people are running 10's on their stock 10bolts, it can work but I wouldn't recommend it myself. I'd get the a ported oil pump. If you are gonna do an install, do it right.

So your saying ls1's have no problem spinning 7000-7200 rpm's on stock rods bolts, rods, and pistons? My question is will i have a problem spinning my 5.3 motor to 6500 rpms?

It's a gamble spinning the stock shortblock that high, no doubt. I installed ARP rod bolts b/c that is the weakest link. After that, I believe the rods are about at their limit.
