If you are going to build a big motor, step up to the plate with a C5R block. You're just screwing around and wasting money on a sleeved block. Save up the cash, buy the C5R block, and sleep easy at night. Life is to short to just waste time and money having to redo things!!!!

Looking back, I should have just went for the iron bolck. Saving the 100 lbs hasn't paid off, if you know what I mean.
You will be in good hands with Steve. Best of luck.

darton sleeves are not unlike any other aftermarket part. if properly installed with the correct machines and following the darton installation guide there are no problems and are superior to c5r blocks. blaming a darton sleeve in this situation is like me blaming a spring company because I installed them at the wrong height and rev'd them to 7k with a cam ill equiped and it broke

This is what happens when everyone tries to keep their problems hush hush so that the vendor will take care of them. It is a shame. I know of a few people who got burnt bad over sleeved motors from MTI and Morgan Motorsports. Hopefully people will search these posts and do their homework better before making the same mistake. The problem is more common that what you read...

I think the C5R is a great block. If the Darton works on motor. I will put it to the test on nitrous! I've been told it will hold up. We'll see. I will post all results.
