Mr Gasket Head Gaskets, .054" Compressed?
Hey All,
Just curious of those who have actually checked the Mr gasket head gaskets for compressed thickness. We went to use a set today for the first time and they looked exactly like a stocker or NAPA/VR gaskets. Even has the VR logo in it. Figured I would do a quick check and she comes out to .056" non compressed which is right at the stocker and NAPA/VR gasket, so I would venture to guess the compressed thickness is .052-.054". Anyone else actually check or just go by the tech line info? I know the tech line says they are .042" compressed. Thanks.

I have no intention of removing these on this vehicle to see if they indeed do compress down to .042", which if they do it is great. Just odd that they initially start out like a stocker at .056" or so and they look identical down to the design and the markings. Anyone else have some torqued and removed numbers? Thanks.
