Default I need some advice on what cam to get

I have a 01 WS6 Trans Am, A4 with MAC longtube headers, exhaust dump and a whisper lid. Everything else is stock on my car. I want to get a cam for my car but dont know what to get.

I want a good cam that will make power, but not over the top. My car is a everyday driver in the summer. I also dont want to spend lots of money. I understand this stuff isnt exactly cheep, but I dont want to get the most expensive one on the market.

What would be a good cam for me? I'm probably going to spray a 100 shot with a nitrous kit I'll be picking up as well.

Lemmie know what you guies have and how its working out for you. Any feedback would be great.

if you want to make an educated decision for yourself search and read jrp's cam guide. also over at ls2.com there is a sticky for owners and their reviews of cams.

call alan at futral motorsports.. strongly consider a f13 on a 114lsa, also for spray, if u wanna stay real small.. instead of the tr224/224, consider the 224/227 on a 114.. better for spray. identical curves on motor as the tr224/224

its only a 100 shot, the traditional vs single patter wont make much difference.

Get a torque converter. You'll see more gains, and you will be able to run a wider variety of cams. I've driven a car that had a moderate cam w/ stock 'verter, and it SUCKED. felt worse than a v6.
