Default head flow

Hello all....Does anyone know what the flow numbers are for the stock ls1 head in 98-99. Also how about a tuner or performance shop that does reputable head work. I would like to see around 320-340 cfm. I have a 68 mm turbo and am looking to engineer a turbo setup that will make 700-800 hp

Thanks guys

Our Stage 1.5 rev2 program is almost finished and may come close to your needs. We have just finished running in the new port on the CNC machine it sure looks promising. Tony D really worked hard on this new port and it shows in the numbers it generated. Now if only I could share them with you I will give you teaser....317.9@ .600 with an intake port that 5cc's smaller than our old 1.5 and that is with a 2.02 valve on a 3.9 bore!!!! Stay tuned for more info.

Is that just for the 5.7's or is there a new port for the 5.3L heads as well? Can hand finishing still up these even farther? If so, those might be some impressive results, especially for the dollar.

Thats on the 5.3 heads with only seat profiling done by hand...we did not even blend the short turn!! We are running them in on a set of 5.7 casting in the am..I will let you know how it goes. We are very optimistic with how it should turn out.

If you don't post flow numbers here (which I'm sure you will), could you pm them to me? Also, I would like to know, how much more flow do you think the hand finishing to comp level actually adds throughout the flow range (.100 to .600)? Thanks Brent, I'm really looking forward to some results!

I will post up details as soon as the rest of testing is complete. As for our hand finished to a competition level option... We will have to do one of the new heads to see how it ends up before I could say. I should have results within the next day or so.
