Do I need to call you on the phone to get more details? To be honest, I'm not even sure why you posted this info here if you're not interested in selling it. i agree w/Jon B. sounds like your just tootin your own horn, if your not gonna give up specs, remember your G5, how long did that take to get out? why not share and give some helpful info to the community.
i dont know all the mods on this car as some do but most dont. so is this a heads and cam, headers car or is there super secret tuning, special secret head work, the ulimate lid,etc... dont get me wrong, those are impresive numbers but with out the TRUE allround mods and cam specs it means JACKSh#$%^t, how many other 450+ cars are there, im sure they dont care..anyway sorry to sound like an *** i dont mean to just sharing a normal everyday, minimul budget as possible, daily driver car guys opinon....i can see how there might have been alot "reasearch" but dont you(all vendors) do it for the bennefit of the car guys.....

Sorry top seem like a skeptic but is this the same dyno that your G5 cam pulled 420rwhp on with stock heads? I would also like to see this on another dyno other than yours, because no one else seemed to get 420 rwhp out of there G5 cam on stock heads on any other dyno.

Are the heads top secret? If not, what size valves, and flow #'s?

Thats why I didn't buy it either, I wanted the G5 a long time ago, but not knowing the specs was one of the main reasons I didn't purchase it..

Heads are our G2 LS6 heads, with 2.02 intake, 1.57 exhaust
They flow 314cfm at .550 lift at 28" water.
our LS1 heads flow 307cfm at .550 lift

We have a C&C program for our LS1 heads, and they were on display at the PRI show. We are going to do the program for the LS6 heads, but most people don't want to spend the extra $$ for the cores.

We are not toot'n our own horn any more than the other 100 or so horsepower posts are that come on here.

If the members of the LS1 community will only buy from those who have the horsepower numbers, and if I am in business, then why would I give out the cam specs? You know as well as I do that the first person who puts it in their car, and claims he is the hero, will be honored here.

Here is a short story; I paid for our ZR28 aero kit to be developed. I went to the SEMA show with it. The first person who bought one, went and copied it, and was selling it within 1 month. He had no R&D costs, but he made the $$.

And at the same SEMA show, I saw an LT1 power pulley at the March engineering booth. It not only looked like my pulley, It even had an LG stamped on the back. They told me that it was THEIR new power pulley.

Great industry we are in.

I love you guys, and we are ready to serve all of our customers. We are just not ready to serve our competitors.

Thanks,

Lou Gigliotti

It's your cam, you want it secret, it's your right. My guess, a big single pattern? 336/336

These are awesome #'s.. My question is how can we ask this vendor to dyno his car at another shop when we do not ask other vendor the same thing..? How many other vendors cars dyno 440rwhp at other locations other than there own? At one time my car was one of the highest dyno'ing car in Florida and I barely made 420rwhp then. I know others with popular vendors packages that have dyno'd at the most 10rwhp more than mine and the majority have dyno'd way less.. Just accept the #'s and move on.. Why ask Lou to advertise his specs on the board when you can easily call him and he can tell you if the cam would work or not..?

ok i can see your point BUT as of now youi are the only one with the cam right? if you post the numbers then we all know it and you are the hereo for the great cam, however when ever it is released, just a matter of time, then it will be copied or even changed slightly. it the industy u r in. look at TRs 224 cam how many diff variants are there? but what is the most talked about, the TR224. i think the reason no other sponsor is asked to prove themselves is becuz as far as we can see they arent keeping anything from us, EX. ( im bias to thunder so ill use them) when they come up with a cam that works great what do they do? post it!!! so we can benifit from it. so we know the specs big deal we will stil go to you to buy it if it works as well as you say, dur/lift/lsa are only a small part of specs at least give up that. all the other important stuff you can keep or at least put on a cam card, how hard is it for me to buy a cam from you. cam doctor it them call comp, get it made an sell it, now im a hero cuz i did it and told everyone and it my idea as far as they are concerned.......just, there isnt any real good reason to with hold unles you have insecurites...

I guess you could always offer a money back guarantee on the cam

Most folks on this board have seen lots of cams, and aren't gonna shell out $400+ for cam they don't get specs on. What's the big deal about giving the specs any way.

Someone will buy one and cam doctor it if they want the specs...sheesh

Do the customers at least get the specs after they buy it? No way I'd buy a cam without knowing what it was, or at least test driving a car with it first to feel drivability/idle/etc.

I knew what the G5 was pretty soon after it came out (I had a cam with nearly the same specs 6 months before), but at the same time I repsected the "secret" and didn't post it all over the boards. I can see where Lou is coming from, its just gonna be hard to convince hard core guys to buy a mystery cam like that.
