Is anyone using All Pro heads yet and who can port them? I keep seeing posts about people talking about the new All Pro heads. Who are using them, how are they doing? Are any porters like Mti, Tea, Gtp, As, Cartek, working on them yet? What kind of numbers are they flowing?

if I'm right they are just a "like stock" casting but with more material AROUND the ports (so they CAN be ported more).......don't see why any company couldn't run a "LS1" CNC port job on them....

The intake ports are already as large or larger than many ported LS1 Heads. They come semi ported, and for about $150 All Pro will add more CNC work to the Chamber area, and for some more a valve job. For a street application that's all you'll need, Bob @ All Pro told me they went like 312 CFM @ .600 with just that however if you want to get a hand porter there are a few places you could use that have already played with these heads....

with what you've seen and experience with AFR's can you do an initial compare and contrast with these new All Pro's.

We ended up getting 347/235 at 630 lift. It made 519rwhp on a 412 LS2.
I'd rather have the AFR's at this current time....

It was a 242/250. I beleive they are alot cheaper then the ALL PRO's, and I had the same cam in a 427 with stg3 stock castings that made 528.... It would have been nice to make a little more...

Big price difference.
The AFR's come complete and the all pro's still need additional CnC work, a valve job, springs, valves, retainers, etc. All in all there is probally a 600+ dollar difference. Plus those all pro's are now 245+cc's and in a NA setup that is another advantage with the AFR's.
Bob from All pro is a great guy to deal with. The product however just hasn't impressed me unless you a FI setup.

What kind of exhaust flow numbers have people been seeing by independant test flowing on ALLPRO's? At 235 we got with a pipe is not going to cut it for FI... What are the AFR exhaust flowing that you guys have seen?

I would love to add some comments here but I didn't have my set flowed with a pipe. I think everyone doing the all pros on FI setup's is having them ported and therefore the exhaust is increased.
The AFR's out of the box IMO are far superior for making power.
I am going to try a set of ET's very soon and I think we will have a real head to compete with AFR now.
Only time will tell.

Most production 225's I bounce off the bench go 245-250 CFM (@ .600) with a 1.875 curved the pipe that directly mimics a typical turn down style header that is found in most vehicles. (The pipe I use starts with a curve and has about a 4-5" straight extension after the bend).

I know a few local benches (600's and 1020's) that have seen about the same. Some a few CFM more....

Also, as an FYI, an AFR exhaust port will pick up a very significant amount of airflow when tested with a pipe. The reason this is so stems from the fact the head was designed with a pipe in place....it was optimized in that configuration which ultimately will dictate different shapes and cross sectional areas when searching for the highest flowing most efficient finished port shape.

And in My oponion is the right way to design your port and have a head flowed. No reason to design your heads w/o a pipe as we all use one.
The heads were weak without a pipe, 207@600 and 217@700 but again that is without a pipe. If Bob designed the heads around a pipe a big difference could be made.
As far as the intake numbers go I dont have them in front of me but they were better then a set of PP heads and about equal to a set of LPE heads.
The 205's beat them on the bench, a set of TEA's beat them, 3 sets of Absolute speed heads made better numbers, just to give you a few reasons why they aren't my favorite head.
