My F14 #s, from the first tune. I'll post up the new graphs from today later this evening or tomorrow, where I gained more HP/TQ throughout the entire graph and more peak.
Food for thought.

Dude, get real. There is no way you are making that kind of power. I see you have a HYPERTECH tune to boot.

Just read through most of this thread...keep in mind, that peak numbers don't
really mean much.
It's the average power over a range of RPM that will win a race. IF the car
is geared to use that window effectively, and stay within that best average
range of power, it will likely do better on the drag strip.
Torque is a force. Horesepower is a measurement. Don't confuse the two.
You want the most torque at any RPM. HP tells you the amount of work the
engine is doing over time.
IE:
300 ft./lbs. of torque @ 2500 RPM = 142.8 HP
250 ft./lbs. of torque @ 5500 RPM = 261.8 HP
Using the HP numbers, you would want to be at 5500 RPM to achieve more
power even though the torque is lower at that RPM.

thats the only thing I can think of aswell...
Let me guess the LSX will put down 20/20 more and the heads you are getting are better than stg 3's they are like a stg5-custom, with like super light springs and 2:1 rockers too?
I bet you put 600/700 down with your heads/lsx

Most people on this site when comparing big cams only talk about the magic stick which is a 236-242 603-608 lift cam and makes power between 2600-6600 rpm roughly ad is a 113 lsa.The other cam is the t rex which makes power 3500-68000 roughly and is 238-242 605-612 110 lsa. My cam starts making power sooner than the t rex and for longer and I don't have to have 410 or higher gears. The reason I did not go with ms3 is the powerband and the lsa. The other cams are the f13 or 14 which I looked at but they don't make the as soon as mine and not for as long. And if you want to go even bigger you can I selected this size because that was what they said would be the biggest cam I could put in my car without clearance issues. Just ask for mike at ls1 speed.com

If this idiot is making the power he says he is, he should be able to run what, 10.50 at full weight?
Damn crackheads....they've figured out how to use the internet.
Wish I lived in teh same dreamworld this clown does. Hell, if I did, my cam only setup wouldn't have made 402.8 hp/ 389.7 tq, it would have been a good 475 HP and 500 TQ.

dont just go calling people chicken **** just because they decide not to chime in with the words you want to see.....
try to tell an NHRA Champion that Big cams Suck...they will laugh at you so hard that they will probably pee themselves....and then they will ask you to please leave the racetrack.....
I have had 2 pro street drag cars that have went high 6's low 7's in the 1/4.....they both had HUGE cams compared to a TREX....you dont go high 6's or low 7's with a small cam
try to do that on your measly 224/228 cam in your signature....not gonna happen....
to ALL of those that think big cams suck.....
they only suck if YOUR setup cant handle the cam...
you cant compare 1 cam to another on a mostly stock car...
hmmm....lets see......
mostly stock car...
Shitty airflow...shitty airflow....shitty airflow....shitty exhaust flow.....that pretty much sums up a stock car....
so lets add the goodies...
LId...bigger MAF and TB...better flowing intake... better flowing heads better combustion spark better exhaust release....better valves and valvetrain, better bottom end, lighter bottom end and balanced bottom end, better oiling, better cooling, and thats only a START to the many many things you can really add to a car.... even then most cars are not steup properly to Handle a BIG cam.
I like... big... cams and I cannot lie.....(sorry..had a song in my head thanks to the radio)
Just because a smaller cam makes more power for your car...(and you have to go down the track to find that out) doesnt mean the big cams suck..... it just means your car isnt ready to be a big boy cam yet.
