Default FMS F14 Cam Only Numbers

FMS F14
232/234.5
.59788/.59969
112 LSA
ICA/ECA
107.9/115.9
401RWHP/379.5RWTQ

Lid/LTs/Duals

EDIT: new graph more power throughout (clicky)

I'm pretty pleased with the results, tuned on stock clutch, then replaced with a RAM Powergrip HD. I haven't got on it hard yet, as I'm still breaking the clutch in. Drives amazingly well at low rpms and in 6th at highway speeds.
Thoughts?

Nice, you could of picked up an extra 20rwhp with a pulley and ported TB. Nice numbers though.

As soon as i find a camera that I do it with, then figure out how to edit/compress etc, (ie, find the software) I'll do it.

I *think* I have a pulley, but it may have been sold already. I guess I'll get a S3 or take it to a friend and let him do it pretty soon..

I would like to start seeing what all these big cams do on a loaded dyno like a mustang or a dyanpack.

See, thats what I find hte problem is. Not enough loaded dyno results around here. Its easy to take a big cam and make lots of HP on a dyno jet because its an inertia dyno, and the faster you spin it, the more HP you make. I hve taken the same cams like the G5X3 cam, and you will be very surprised to see what HP you realy make, and you will also watch your TQ number plummit.

I run the f13 and I believe you would be amased if you did put it on the dyno. It kicks my old c1 cams *** at teh track and that is where it counts. Dyno's are a tool and results dont mean squat. The track and the street is where it counts.
My cam drives great ,. sounds good and pulls hard from 2500 up to 6700 where I shift. I can drive in 6th at 55 mph and not buck.
I dont want any bigger then the f13 but it does drive great.

F14 is a beast..its in a friends car, hopefully in another friends car soon. My friends only dyno'd 375rwhp but ran 11.65 @ 117mph.. 3500+ raceweight. I think dyno numbers don't mean ****, myself. You are going to be extremely satisfied. He had no ls6 intake, nor a pulley.

Peace,
Josh

I noticed that aswell...
Any other comment on that?
I'm kinda wondering too.

It does however feel stronger before there, but shows its not...

Thats about what you should get....nothing until up top. The reason being is because there is too much duration to have any good amount of torque down low. On a dynojet, you get big numbers by making the roller spin faster. So the reason why you only made more power up top, was because at that point your cam's power band kicked in. When you put that cam on a loaded dyno, you will be very disapointed. Sorry to say this, but I see it every day. I had someone dyno 355 on a mustang dyno with a G5X3 cam, then I have out smaller cams dyno 373 on the same dyno. Usuable power is key.

Congrats Brandon! Keep working on the tuning and I think you will see some improvements. What cam did you have before?

In response to our cams not making power on a loaded dyno our F13 cam only just made 420 on a Mustang dyno, made 430 on our DynoJet. Also to compare a smaller cam to our F13 Aint Skeered picked up over .2 ET by going from a 224 to a 230/232 in a 3700+lb car, this is what shows true power/torque gains.

dont think it will much matter when racing from a roll or a stop.... maybe at half throttle pulls from 2k... if each car was only allowed 50% throttle from 2k-4k rpm race hehe, then it might be giving up something.. but looking at that graph and knowing where he'll be rpm wise while racing, i dont think hes giving up anything and is gaining a lot
