Its a dual spring that fits in the stock spring pocket. They will handle up to .660 valve lift. Many customers have run them with XER lobes.PRC offers a complete swap kit including ID spring locators, titanium retainers and new seals. They kit retails for $289.

you can run 918's no problem with that cam. 918's are an awesome spring and are under-rated due to comp coming out with their higher lift dual springs. I would personally run 918's.

wow, 918's, patriot golds, and PRC's........not sure if I'm any closer to a decision, I sure do appreciate all the help
I think I'm honestly leaning to a dual spring set up. will a dual spring offer any greater degree of valvetrain stability that the single spring(918)?

I went with the duals for peace of mind....they should handle the aggressive ramps easier than a single spring setup although the singles have the weight advantage going for them.

I ran 918's on an XE-R 224/220 .581/.581 116lsa with up to 200 dry N2O shots (dual stage). Never had any worries.
Some poeple overlook that the lightest your valvetrain, the better for higher rpm use.
Everyone is on a phobia about running singles, while in fact the 918's are the best spring anyone could run on cams that fall under it's umbrella.
Properly installed at correct height they are hard to beat; lighter, better harmonics, smaller retainer diameter for aftermarket rockers etc...
