Default G5x4 and AFR's

I currently have the g5x3 with 66cc AFR's and mls gaskets. I am looking at upgrading to the g5x4. I am wondering if this cam will fit without fly cutting. I don't feel like pulling the heads again to do the swap. Does anyone know any of the specs on this cam? Is the driveability the same as the g5x3? How is the rpm band in comparison to the g5x3? Thanks for all of the help!

Not sure about your question, but expect a long wait, I placed my order for one 4 weeks ago, still no word or sign of this cam yet But it does drive fine, a buddy of mine has it in his SS, LS6 heads, etc, runs strong!!

Matt,

You would gain a probably 15-20rwhp with milling the heads. Those MLS gaskets are reusable from what I've heard. You can rent the ISKY flycutting tool and dummy head from LG Motorsports for $100. I'm sure others rent them as well.

I have a chance to get the cam for free so that is why I got interested. I don't mind pulling the cam out in that case. I just put the heads on and prefer not to pull them back off. Not to mention I don't have anything better than 91. The car gets knock after 26 degrees of timing as is. The extra compression is only going to add to that.

Be sure to post up the results if you do install it. That car should run verry strong.

I have about 15 of these cams coming in today/tomorrow, look for them to ship tomorrow guys. Let me know if you have any questions/concerns- Ill answer them before I head to St. Pete for Round 2 of the Speed GT.
