Default LME 6.0L Flow numbers!!

Well, I got a call from Bryan at LME yesterday, and he told me my motor and heads are done! He said the heads came out great!! I would say I have to agree. These heads were flowed on three different flow benches and the numbers were with in 2-3cfm of each bench. Here are the numbers:

Bore: 4.030
intake, exhaust (no pipe)
.200" 136, 114
.300" 206, 168
.400" 266, 209
.450" 286, 223
.500" 304, 231
.550" 321, 237
.600" 335, 240
.650" 341, 243

The cam is a 246/257 .633/.645 114LSA. This head/cam combo on the 408 should be a beast!! This motor will be alot of fun this year. I just need to get cracking to get this thing up and running.

Sounds like a wicked setup. But you'll have to excuse me, to me, getting flow numbers from the same place that worked the heads just seems to me like setting the fox to guard the hens. Or in other words, worthless. Regardless, even if they are 5% off you should have one sick *** ride on your hands.

They were actually flowed on two other flow benches besides their own. But either way, I'm confident these are going to be bad!!!

Great flow numbers. Nice to see you're using a cam to take advantage of the high lift flow numbers. You should fly!

Your flow #'s look great .
My flow #'s are pretty much the same as yours on 241 casting heads . LME was the shop that did my heads also as well as the short block. LME does awesome work.

not to start anything but those flow #'s even on a 4.030 bore seem high and if they are correct what size did they open your runners to. Also what size valves?

LME does badass work, they got MRI-TEK heads to flow almost the same as these but his was on an ls1 head 241 casting.

LME worked on these heads for quite a while. They flowed them over 30 times to get them to this point. These are not their average heads. The valve size is 2.08 intake and 1.60 exhaust. I'm not exactly sure what they opened the runners too, I will have to ask. They tried a few new tricks with these heads to see how they would work. I guess they did.

Those are some really nice heads. I saw them being flowed in person so I can vouch for their authenticity. You should make some killer power!

The valve sizes are 2.080 / 1.60 . Not sure on the size of the runners ( over my head there ) . Why wouldn't you think this was'nt possible ?? Maybe Brian or Pecos from LME will chime in here and share a little more info.

Nice, sounds good. But i am still wondering how much they open up the runner size to get such high flow #'s? Good luck with your new set-up

Thanks guys for the backing. I was very amazed at the flow numbers, but that's the reason I went with LME, because they are known for badass motors!!!

They are 6.0L heads.

Now I have to convert my DP setup from my LS6 to my LSX intake so I can destroy my T-56!

The Heads are 6.0L castings. They are 2.08" 1.60" valves. The int. runner vol. is 250cc. For 408 inches and a big shot of gas they should do nicley!!

Have fun Ben. Hope to here some track times soon!!

What was the total cost for all of the work? Did you supply the 317 heads? What valve springs are you ruuning with that lift?

Thanks,
David

Better #s than a head I had flowed(by a well known operator) a couple of days ago with a simular set up from a well known company. These were 6.0 heads with 2.08/1.60 valves and 232/84cc runners and went 293/214 @ .600 (exh. was with a pipe) on a 3.900 fixture and on a 4.125 fixture went 313/230 @ .600. These heads had the LS6 style ports.

I wouldn't doubt any #'s that come from there. Pecos and Brian really have the ls1 stuff down to an art. They did the engine in my car and it made 564 rwhp and around 520 foot pounds. on pump gas with the timing set at 21 degrees for the n2o. They also did the engine in our race car and ... well see my sig for that.
