It will loose some of its MAX effort characteristics. ie: be tamer.

Will 1 3/4 to 2 1/2 (collectors) LT headers be enough for a setup like I mentioned? I am asking because thats the only thirdgen conversion LT for the LS1 so far.

Going with a 12 bolt with something around 4.10 in it. I dont want to spin this thing past 7k anyhow so the 1 3/4 LTs might be the better choice. Well its not like I have a choice anyhow unless I get a custom set made for the Iroc.

Yep some of us waiting a while and called every friday to keep you on your toes. lol I am just glad I got it and now the engine build can begin. Thanks!!

Louis,
What do you think about the 1 3/4 header vers the 1 7/8? Is it worth it to get a custom set built for my project in your opinion or with the 1 3/4 set be fine for a street and strip car?

I did install it dot to dot, and have no idea of the clearances, it's close, but doesn't hit, works fine with my stock 853 casting LS1 heads. I have a video of it in here now.

i think i had one of the very first x4's made.
the car just wasnt finished until recently.

i still think the 224 had more lope to it, lol- but the x4 definitely has more of a punch in the exhaust- the note hits harder is the best way i can describe it.
