Default Quick LS1 ASA Cam Question!!

I am about to purchase the GM LS1 ASA Cam but which springs do I purchase along with this cam.

226/236 Durations
.525 Lift
110 LSA

The LS1 hot cam recommends the 2001 LS6 Springs... but the difference is just the LSA and durations... Lift is the same.

Need recommendations

Thanks
Jason

go with the comp 918s, although you could get away with 02+ ls6 springs.

Wouldn't that be too much spring for the cam and valvetrain?? The 2001 or 2002 LS6 Springs i thought would be around what I need...???

LS6 springs will work fine, get the 02 and later style though, they're good to .550 lift

Not to hijack the thread or anything...

But I was wondering how much rwhp would an asa cam put down on a full bolt on a4?

I used comp 918s with no problems. good solid spring and you'll never have to change them again.

I'd just use the newer LS6 springs. Comp 918's are great but they are stronger/stiffer and I just don't see them going indefinately without being changed.

I had LS-6 springs with a hot cam, changed them to 918's when I changed rockers to 1.8's, do yourself a favor and use better springs to start with, this way if you want a higher lift cam later you won't be doing springs again.
