Default X1 Cam question do I still need a stall on 114lsa.

I believe the numbers are 230/227 591/571 with 114lsa. I wanted to see what you guys thought before I call MTI tommorrow. I'm running 3.15' A4 Vette going to spray later but really don't want stall right now.

I wouldn't see any reason to hold off on a stall. Even if your car was bone stock, a stall would still be very beneficial.

You definately need a stall. Your car will run like without one.

GET THE CONVERTER!
Reasons:
1) The converter will add more to the performance of you car than the cam would.
2) The cam will NOT perform anywhere near it's potential with the stock converter.
3) Drivability (specifically idling) will be a PITA with just about any good sized cam on a stock converter.

I thought I did but I wanted to be positive. I might as well get the 112lsa instead a guy had this cam for a good deal but I might as well get what I want if I need a converter. Thanks guys...

Don't go too small on the converter either. 3200-3500 is a good place to start. If you are worried about it being loose get 3.73 gears and look into the Yank SS series.

Definately put a stall in first. With out it, it's going to take you a loooooooong time to get up into your powerband.

Even with a converter, don't automatically count out a cam with a 114 lsa. 112 is not "better," it's just different, depending on the application. There are pros and cons to each
