Default Precision Race Components CNC Machine At Work!! #2

Guys the last post got off topic so I wanted to start it over. I'm sorry to everyone for me getting frustrated with other sponsors jumping into a thread. This post is about PRC cylinder heads & I'd appreciate it if we could try to keep this one on topic. I don’t get into other cylinder head companies posts & discuss products & I’d appreciate if the other sponsors would do the same. That being said I'll try not to get as agitated about others posts, and I’ll try to keep on topic Sorry guys

This is a great technical site so lets try to keep it that way

Here's a few quick pics of the Precision Race Components Haas 5 Axis CNC machine porting away on some 5.3l castings

Each set of heads are completely cnc ported on PRC's Haas HS1 5 axis CNC machine & then assembled with great attention to detail! When comparing cylinder heads take a look at the features & components that go into each brands cylinder heads! PRC uses BRAND NEW GM Cores, name brand Manley Valves, PRC's Gold OR New Platinum Series Race Springs all for a awesome price of $1529 for 2.5s or 1429 for 1.5s! Here's The Specs On The Heads:

As of now PRC's seem to be the heads to buy. I know gomer made nice numbers with them and I believe those were out of the box. I want to seem some hand-finished numbers, they ought to be impressive.

Hand finished heads are in the works, but the head doesn't flow much different with extra hand finishing. The cnc program cuts the head so well that even out of the box they're hard to beat

    Thanks for the support!!

I don't know if there is a flowchart for the PRC's on here or not.. But Marks (MARKSZ71) heads flow #'s were really nice. And they were flowed "Independantly" also. They outflowed his Patriots by a good bit and performed ALOT better!

I'll be ordering a set this week as soon as Gomer calls me back!

Sorry for the delay guys. I have some flow info from a set that was done on a superflow 1020 last week

    .300 210
    .400 252
    .500 286
    .550 295

I will have to get the exhaust #'s again, but a stage 1.5 flowed 226 cfm with a stock truck exhaust valve!

Yes Gomer put down some nice numbers at both the dyno and the track!! All these dyno numbers and flow numbers are semi-important but what it does in that 1320 feet is what I'm looking for!

BTW.. I called Gomer and put my order in today for a set of the 2.5 5.3's, 233/239 Torquer Rev.2, dble chain, pushrods, ls6 pump, etc etc.. Should be haulin ***** in no time!

10 Second Club here I come!

Everybody seems to be talking about it, so I figure I'll ask for my own info. Would flycutting be required to use these heads (unmilled) with you 233/239 cam?

No, you will not have to flycut if you want to run the 233/239 with PRC's.

How much did that Mac Daddy CNC machine set you back? Just curious.

Sweet heads. Do you CNC heads that are shipped to you?

Well, it was not cheap. However, we felt that it was well worth it considering we could never get a head done properly. We did have two other shops doing some porting prior to us getting our CNC machine, but one of them would not finish the guides properly and the other one would take forever and a day to get anything to us. It's now become pretty entertaining because one of these shops, which is supposed to be pretty well-known for head porting, is now PM'ing and e-mailing people trying to claim any PRC head that ever made great power was done by them. In reality, they ported less than 10% of the PRC cylinder heads. The PRC heads speak for themselves with the power they make and will continue to make. A quality product does not need "under-the-table" tactics to sell.

I have to say this is the first time I've ever seen a sponser post flow numbers that were lower than what a customer had them independently flowed at Here's the numbers MARKSZ71 posted a couple months ago. Keep up the good work! My PRC stg 2.5's are going on tonight

    Intake Exhaust
    .100 72 cfm 63cfm

    .200 141 cfm 112 cfm

    .300 204 cfm 153 cfm

    .400 252 cfm 194 cfm

    .500 283 cfm 212 cfm

    .550 298 cfm 225 cfm

    .600 308 cfm 229 cfm
