Default Heads - 300cfm.. is it possible?

A whole group of mustang guys have ganged up against me saying that its impossible for ls1 heads to flow 300cfm on a stock bore. Well, some of these guys even own speed shops down here and say that I have no clue what I'm talking about that they have hands on experience and I am a magazine racer. Lol. Does anybody have any results where they flowed their own heads or had them flowed on an independent bench on a stock bore and did 300cfm or greater?

Thanks,
Josh

People like that will never really believe it until they see it right in front of them so just pay them no attention. Hell just tell em to look at my site and they will see what can be done with the production valves and MILD porting.

Tony from AFR posted a bunch of flow numbers of several different head porters recently. Do a search and you will find it pretty easy. AFR website even shows flow numbers and are respected by most mustang guys as well and they make some of the best heads for mustangs too. Anyway just some suggestions. There is tons of proof out there and if they don't believe, oh well!

All those were flowed on a bigger bore, IIRC.

Thanks,

I have had 2 sets flow over 300 on a stock bore at a local shop.
Absolute Speed, and LPE both toped the 300 mark.
AS right at over 300CFM's at 550, 600 and 700.
So tell them to stick with their mustangs, as they dont know a thing about LS1's.

Now that I think about it, just agree with them.
Then tell them to be glad the LS1 heads dont flow 300 yet, because if they did the Mustangs would be even further behind. HAHAHA
I bet that shuts them up.

Get some flow numbers of actual heads that could probably be found on here. Show those to them, and then tell em to go back to bolting on $3000 superchargers to 2000 GT's in order to keep up with a bolt on LS1.
