Well with heads cam , headers + all the rest of the boltons , I lost a good amount of mileage . Took a days worth of traveling back and forth to work from a tank of gas for me .Thats about 44 miles round trip . BTW the cam is a 224/227 grind. I fill up at the 3 day mark , before I could go 4 days a tank . I guess its not too bad , but it adds up in gas purchases .

When I ran a TR224 114, my fuel economy was unchanged from stock.

I went from 21 MPG to 16.6 MPG with the TSP 231/237. I thought maybe something was wrong, but maybe that is about right?

I get about 3-5 mpg less with my cam. Still average 20 mpg in city easily, 25+ on highway. With boltons my mileage was better than stock.

I got 22.5 mpg coming back from Springfield, MO. 4.10 gears, and cruising above 80 quite a bit.

Don't feel bad, my car is the same way. If I see 18mpg on a tank with normal driving I consider that fantastic!

I'm getting 17-19 in the city with some heavily spirited driving. I'll be doing a road trip over the week so I'll see how it does on the highway.

tr224 112 lsa here. No change in gas mileage unless you put your foot into all the time which is likely to happen with your new found power. There is a power to weight ration formula that explains it better. I dont know it, but basicaly making more power doesnt hurt your mileage until a certain point. Then it takes more fuel to produce after that point and it becomes an issue. 346 cu in and a tr 224 dont exceed that as far as I can tell. But maybe I'm wrong?

I may have figured out why I lost some MPG. With this cam I get a lot of bucking around 1400 RPM so I tend to keep it in a lower gear to stay between 1600 and 1800, where before I would be around 1300 or 1400.

Got around 17 in the city and 23 highway before, and I haven't noticed much of a change yet. (229/226)
