Default LS6 intake & FAST intake

What would be better for a 99' TA A4 an LS6 intake or a FAST intake?

The LS6 intake manifold would be better for your wallet!

Seriously, unless you are going FI or with a larger displacement motor, I don't believe the difference in performance provided by the LSX intake manifold is worth the almost doubled expense, but that's just me.

depends on your setup really
bolt-on to mild cam only or H/C ls6 would be fine

mid-wild H/C id go with the fast 90/90 so not to starve the motor of air on the top end

FI - either would work fine as it doesnt have to pull air through its pushed through

with the smaller setups its up to you if the 5-10hp is worth the extra cash for the fast setup

On my Head/Cam, stock cube setup, the 90/90 really woke things up.
If you're not touching the internals, the LS6 is plenty fine.

The guy that recently notched my pistons told me he dyoed a stock cube heavily modded LS1 and the FAST 90/90 only picked up 3RWHP over the LS6 intake. He did say that a big cube engine would definitely benefit.

ive been contemplating this too. Think im gonna stick w/ the LS6/ stock ported tb till i get heads, forged bottom, and run a bigger shot o giggle juice & then add the 90/90. Which TB is better though, the fast 90 or Nicks 90tb?

NW or TPIS. Stay away from the FAST TB unless ALL of their issues have been fixed.

I just installed a 78 FAST intake and TB on a friends car. Replaced the LS6. It is a mild cam and most bolt ons in an A4 car. His the SOP difference was minimal. He has not dyno'd it since though.

78mm LSX not worth the swap over an LS6 intake.
