Best "Cam only" Cam for an a4, bolt on LS1
Like the title says. I have a bolt on 2000 WS6. (Lid, pulley, stall, LT's.)
What is the best Cam only cam for this particular set up? A friend of mine made alot of power on the C1 Hammer Cam, but I want to make sure I do some research first.
Thanks,
Bob

Depends heavily on the stall converter you have. A 3000 converter will require staying on the small side with cams. 3500 stall means a C2 would work well, but if you want an F13,14, G5X3 or something of that size, you're giong to need a 4000 plus stall to work best. Give us some details about your stall, rear end ratio and tires...plus your overall goals: Street car? Race car? Street/strip?

with the A4, i'd get a cam on a 114 LSA, i'd lean towards the F13, only b/c it offers better drivability. the f14 is a great cam but you'd need a bigger stall to take advantage of it.

It's a 3000 stall.. I would be shooting for similar HP to what the C1 puts out. The goals for this car are street/strip. Stock gears, possibly 3.73's, who knows....

some of the smaller Futral cams would work nice as well as a few of the smaller TSP cams like the 225/225.. And I would suggest leaving the gears stock or maybe going to 3.42..
