If there is no advance ground into the cam, it "might" fit, but would have to be clayed for accuracy. If there is any advance at all ground in, I wouldn't even bother. Personally, I don't think it would fit at all, but others may beg to differ.

Why don't you think it will fit? There are several larger cams run in otherwise stock LS1's all the time. I mean, just look at the Trex

With a good tune you could easily drive it daily. You will want steeper gears though. >400 rwhp possible and every car is different.

I think it would fit but check it to be sure. The difference between a cam with .600 lift and .560 is .040 ... that is about the thickness of a dime. It is not very much. If you looked at 2 valves with one open .560 and the other.600 it would be hard to tell the difference. This doesn't mean you will not have clearance issues but people make a bigger deal about some these clearances than their really is.

You guys need to keep in mind that these larger cams your see are DESIGNED to clear stock heads. That means the manufacturers played with valve timing to make them fit within the utmost tightest tolerances. If there is a .005" mill on your heads, they recomend you do not run them. I happen to know the specs on one of the "secret" cams out there that is designed to fit with stock heads. It's intake duration is a comp XE-R 234 cut on a 114 with 4 degrees of advance ground in. It pushes the limits of P/V clearence. The same cam cut on a 112 can be done, but they reccomend you never float a valve or it's over with. That's how unrealistically tight people are running these cams. If he has a 236 XE-R lobe on a 112, I would not run it, espeacially if it has any advance ground in. I wouldn't tell someone information if I didn't have a stack of info to back me up.

forget it then..

this was just an idea .. woulda been a good deal..

but not worth the risk and the things neccesary I'd have to do to compensate for such a large cam

Almost has to be G5X3.....

Although you seem a little loose with that info considering that they, for some reason, don't want people to know. Oh well.

You can easily make 400 HP to the wheels with a more conservitive cam and good tuning. Good luck with the project.

The specs on the cam have been posted many times. It's not that big of a secret anymore.

I completely missed the specs to the G5X3 being posted. I'll do a search on it and see.....

Edit: I don't see it in search. I did see a thread with both louis and JRP from barely over a montha go (4/20) that stated the specs still weren't known publically.
