(not to completely hijack your thread)
The reason I asked if you would make 460 w/ the g5x3 is because i wanted to add afrs for my next engine mod and bump compression up.
I guess if the heads are shaved to add comp., then my pistons will have to be fly cut (even w/ the 114 lsa)? (I'm asking)
I know of at least one guy with a G5x3, afrs, lg lts, cai, fast 90, nw tb, injectors making 470 rwhp. I'm not sure what his rwtq is off the top of my head, but 420 sounds right. He also has 4.10s.
It was his car (Don Benson) that I'm trying to use as a benchmark.
I thought that would be the natural progession, but do you have other suggestions (cam & head only)?

oh, as for the factory ti, i think its the best exhaust, hands down, esp. when you run no cats and lts with a big cam . . . Plus its lighter and cheaper!
But that is my opinion and your opinion may vary based upon your tolerance for dbs etc.
I sold my borlas to someone with a stock c5--he's happy, i'm happy.

NO true "cam only" LS1 engine will make 400 rwhp or 400 rwtq. By "cam only", I mean a completely stock longblock or engine, except for the cam.

I meant with all the supporting bolt-ons....
Fallen, I agree with you on the z06 exhaust. Yes you will have to fly-cut but it is not too difficult and there is lots of info on it here. Man GX3, 4.10's, LGM's, Fast(w/NW) & AFR's on a tuned Z06 is something you don't see every day and a very beautiful thing.

About 2-3 years ago I did it with my old 224/224 106icl 110lsa 568 comp xe cam. Numbers were 405rwhp/406rwtq. This cam made hella torque, it was at 380rwtq by 3000rpm. Car was an 01 SS with stock heads and most of the bolt ons (no lsx intake, was not around back then). Numbers were through a 10 bolt as well. This was done through open headers with u shaped collector extensions (the remains after I cut the worst y pipe made in history thanks to the local exhaust man).

I too would like to see a good AFR and G5X3 combo with a FAST. The thing is, would 225 be better than 205 - and would 1 7/8 primary's be better than 1 3/4 for that application (225 vs 205).

Last dyno was 375 RWTQ with the converter UNlocked. I think I will hit 400 RWTQ on the next dyno with the verter LOCKED. I just installed a ASP U/D pulley/new belts and I'm having a FLM 3" collector welded in place of my MAC ORY collector.
When/if I hit 400 RWTQ, I'll post up.
