AFR, Edelbrock/Lingenfelter Performance, Dart are the only ones i know of that are doing their own castings that i know of, but there could be more i'm sure. all it means is better options and pricing for us the consumers! these Darts SMASHED the set of AFRs they were tested with...that's all i know.

i'll try to get the comparrison sheets tomorrow at work and scan them...the sets tested were both out of the box castings one from AFR and one from DART...the difference at .600" lift was ~20cfm for the Dart heads...like ~312AFR to ~335DART the darts are being worked on now for my new setup.

in my opinion it's like this....the AFR head is great, but more suited for a street/strip car with the entire setup designed around the head. the Dart head is more of an aggressive hard core race head designed to bolt on and make more power. Dart has always made some SERIOUS power with everything they made that i've been around.

I agree with that statement, I am looking for heads right now and would like to see all the new castings come out and battle it out for supremacy like the old school stuff has

i called Brodix and they told me that there was some talk about making an LSx head but no castings have been produced yet. and that it would be at least a year from the time they start the project until something is released.

A couple more notes I am able to pass on. The oil system is being changed slightly. It will be a dry sleeve setup as well as offering two different deck heights. We are trying to make this capable of going to 500ci. With the taller deck, a new manifold will be available as well as spacers for stock intakes. Extra head bolt holes as needed will be there as well as specific head for that application. The cam journals will be larger allowing more lift with less ratio on a larger base circle and the cams will be readily available for approximately the same pricing as today. Basically it will be able to be a direct bolt in capable of being a full race application.

As I said, be patient and more info will follow. Hope this helps.

That is excellent news Mike. Thanks

Hey All,

Possible there may be a block at SEMA, but most likely PRI here in Orlando in December. If anything else pops up I will let you know. Thanks.
