Yes, it is rumored they are going to offer an LSx block with the 4.125" bore.

I wonder how big an overbore it will support. Wouldn't a 4.25" bore be fun? Add LS7 2.2" valve heads and a stroker crank and it would be a real big block! An all aluminum big block.

If it is going to be aluminum, chances of it handling a anything more than .015 overbore are next to nill. An iron block might get you .060. Biut geez .1" is a ton in the cylinder walls. Also, I wouldnt even venture a guess at what this thing will cost........... $1500, $2500, $4000. They can kinda name their price tag when the next closest 4.125" bore block is $6K.

Sure, if you can figure out a good way to put flatspots on the piston skirts, rings and sleeves.

A 4.2" bore would reuire a re-sleeve of an aluminum block, and then machine work, even if it started life as a 4.125" bore. Cool idea , but Big $$$$.

2.2 valves on the LS7 head? That seems kinda big. Can a 4.125 bore support that? I thought it was a mispringt when I read that size. Figured it was supposed to read 2.02?

You know I was kinda speaking out of my *** earlier. I wasnt thinking about the darton MID blocks. They get 4.125 out of them. Best I recall they are about $3k. Call me on that one if I am wrong. If the block is under $2K I am going to get one, otherwise not. The 6.0 blocked 402/408 is just fine otherwise

If this is anything like the other aftermarket blocks from WP then you should be able to bore it. I wouldn't say .125" over but .060" would not be out of the question.

The .060 over stuff are iron blocks, not aluminum with sleeves. So like I said before it depends on what they release.
