Default Damn shame

Hey Bro I'm sorry to here about your motor but don't give up hope yet. Look on-line at the various sites like e-bay and etc. I have seen full ls1 motors from 1000-3000 dollars so shop around. Even if you have to park your car for the summer and buy a used car to get around in, it will be well worth the aggravation of saving your money and building your motor right. We all have set backs it comes with being an ls1 owner GOOD LUCK......

Dude - if you are starting college and don't have any money the last thing you should be doing is burning money on a fast car. You have the rest of your life to get a fast car. Get your schooling completed, a job, and then start looking for a car.

Good Luck,

Mark

Yes BUT my car was a never ending disaster, it was in the shop more than i drove it, with constant problems. Now i have 3 year warranty, brand new car. LS2 Engine for power but way better luxury.

I love it.

Not to mention i have a 6 speed now

bad oil pump. Or bad car what ever you want to call it, but basicly the relief valve got stuck. And caused no oil at a light, when i was driving home. I had oil pressure, LOW OIL psi but i had oil pressure driving home, but it would die out when i came to a light. Got home took it to the shop, they didnt even notice the problem, until after i had new cam/stall installed and was driving it home, and noticed loud ticking sound. Tore the motor apart found 2 spun bearings.

It happens i guess. But i am very happy now. Especially since my dad decided to help me get a GTO.

After the downpayment it was about 22k, with the GM employee discount you can get the 6 speed for almost an even 30k. Originaly there about 34k.

Correction i put the down payment on the car, and my dad bought this. It was more his choice to buy it for me. I was going to have to fix the motor all out of my pocket, on my summer job alone. Witch would have been all my money from summer.

He offered a new car? what should i have said? No?

Yea it is its very slick inside. I really like them, they have performance but also alot of style inside. The interior is plush. Love it.

Wow, I just decided to read this thread for the first time seeing how long it was. All I have to say is DAMN. Your Camaro spun rod bearings and you got a new GTO which you are already getting a couple mods for. Wow, that's nice.....who will be making those payments? If I were you I wouldn't do anything that could void the warranty the way your luck is going. Actually, on second thought you might end up with a vette if the GTO goes south! j/k

I am in college right now, I'll be a senior this coming year but I'm on a ~5.5 year plan. When my tranny took a **** on me a couple months ago my parents paid for my Maximim Evil, and even the converter restall to 4000 while it was out.

I still feel like a bum about it though.

well im working my *** off this summer to make about 4 grand. 40 hour weeks. I used the money as a downpayment on the car, and this summer im working my butt off to pay for the first 8 months of payments. Than my parents will take over. So im paying for about 2/5ths of the car. My parents are paying the rest. It was an awesome situation, i figured i would drive a beater for awhile but my dad was like, do you like the new gto? i want to buy you one. I was like HELL YEA!
